How should I clean my sofa or chair?

Cleaning instructions depend on the fabric. Fabrics are coded as S (solvent-based cleaning), W (water-based cleaning), or WS (either solvent- or water-based). In addition, some WS fabrics are Performance Fabrics - with enhanced stain resistance, increased durability, repellency, and fade resistance.

If you are unsure of the cleaning code of your furniture’s fabric or leather, find the name or numerical code of your fabric on your furniture’s tag or sales receipt. Then, go to the manufacturer’s website and look-up the fabric under the materials tab. A cleaning code should be listed for each fabric or leather.

Are things ‘back to normal’ in the furniture industry? What about inflation?

The furniture industry’s supply chain has nearly returned to normal. Lead times have greatly improved, now averaging 4 to 10 weeks - depending on materials & complexity.

Inflation has been a challenge for the past year, but prices have again stabilized.

Our team is constantly monitoring the status of orders, and we always provide an honest assessments on expected lead-times, based on the most up-to-date information available.

Is Garrett‘s Furniture ‘On-the-Hill’ open?

If the door is locked and the lights are out during our regular business hours, call the main store at 270-358-3587. Someone from the main store at 211 N. Lincoln will meet you there in a few minutes, or you can come down to the main store first.

What is the difference between your two stores?

The ‘main store’ at 211 N. Lincoln (next to the bridge just before Creekfront Park) carries bedroom, living room, and dining room furniture. The store also features lamps, wall art, area rugs, writing- and executive-desks, and mattresses.

Garrett’s Furniture ‘On-the-Hill’ carries recliners, sofas and loveseats by La-Z-Boy, Best Home Furnishings, and Hughes. The ‘On-the-Hill’ store also carries power lift chairs by La-Z-Boy, Best HF, and Ultra Comfort.

Do your sales people sell on commission?

No. We are a family-run business. Our sales people DO NOT work on commission. This helps us maintain a low-pressure environment and allows us to focus on working together as a team to best meet your needs.

Where is Garrett’s Furniture ‘On-the-Hill?’

The ‘On-the-Hill’ location is at the corner of East High Street and South Lincoln Blvd. Parking is on East High Street, opposite the old library building (now LaRue Insurance).

Do you sell what’s on your sales floor? Do you handle custom orders?

Unlike some other furniture stores, we DO sell everything that’s on our showroom floor. We also handle custom orders, if you want to customize your furniture.

For custom orders, we require you put down a deposit of 30% in advance. The balance is due when your furniture is delivered or you pick it up.

Do you offer financing?

We offer a 12 month, 0% interest financing program through Wells Fargo. If you’re interested, please ask us in the store for an application. It only takes a few minutes to complete.
